The Revenant berhasil meraih tiga penghargaan, yaitu Best Motion Picture – Drama; Best Actor oleh Leonardo DiCaprio yang mengalahkan Bryan Cranston, Eddie Redmayne, Michael Fassbender, dan Will Smith; serta Best Director untuk Alejandro González Iñárritu. Dengan kemenangan Leo, apakah ia sanggup melepas predikat sebagai “aktor yang selalu gagal meraih Oscar?” Hmm, mungkin masih harus ditunggu hingga Academy Award berlangsung.
